It gets better—the guy is deaf, and he taught his cat the sign for “food.” So the cat’s not just saying “put that in my mouth,” it’s actually signing

Not only that, but if you notice at the beginning, the cat *gets the man’s attention* as any person who wanted to talk to a deaf/hoh individual would (well, and vice versa IME). I’ve done sign since I was 5, and generally, w/o eye contact initially, you wave a hand or lightly touch the arm (if that’s ok with the person you’re trying to converse with, of course). Generally, adult cats meow mostly to humans, but this cat has figured out that’s not going to work and has adapted. Animal companions! They are INCREDIBLE.

Amazing.

EVERYONE STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND LOOK AT THIS CAT.

I stitched this 96x96 square (9,216 total stitches) for the charity Child’s Play. Over at spritestitch.com, we’re going to make many of these squares from different video games into quilts that we will sell. All the proceeds will go to Child’s Play. This was a lot of hard work, but it was worth it!ALSO: I forgot to mention that blackmageheart made the pattern for me and I am very grateful for all her help and support!!! ♥

I was finally able to do something for a challenge at spritestitch.com in the forum! The December challenge is “It’s dangerous to go alone, take this.” It was left pretty wide open. Even though I know we do Pokemon a lot (especially me!), I was thinking about my favorite items that I don’t want to be without on my Pokemon quests. I stitched them and then made it into a chart, of sorts. I hope you like it! I don’t have patterns for the items; I just zoomed in on the sprites and stitched by eye.
